Welcome to John's Motel No 1

John's Motel No 1 sits quietly at 800 Air Base Blvd in Montgomery, Alabama, catering primarily to travelers seeking a straightforward, budget-friendly stay. With a modest rating of 3.1, the motel reflects both ongoing improvements and areas needing attention. Guests appreciate the recent upgrades to the rooms; Laraine Jones highlights how the spaces have been "amped up," offering a surprisingly comfortable environment for those just stopping by briefly.

The motel’s key amenities focus on essentials: free Wi-Fi and complimentary parking make it a practical choice for visitors on the move. However, the absence of a pool, restaurant, or fitness center limits on-site leisure options, placing emphasis on Montgomery’s surrounding attractions for recreation and sightseeing.

Despite these positives, some guest feedback points to opportunities for improvement in customer service and room readiness. Denise Atkins notes the presence of a young staff member who lacked warmth and suggests better attention to details like stocking extra towels. These remarks indicate that while the motel is evolving, the guest experience can vary depending on the day and personnel.

In essence, John's Motel No 1 represents a humble lodging option for travelers prioritizing convenience and affordability over luxury. Its location is advantageous for exploring Montgomery’s rich history and vibrant culture. Yet, the motel's character is shaped not only by its physical upgrades but also the quality of human interaction it offers. There’s a genuine foundation here, inviting the brand to deepen its hospitality roots and polish the details that turn transient guests into repeat visitors.

They have upgraded a little their but they do have a young lady who is rude. I think they can do better about making sure extra towel and wash cloths are in the room.

They have really amped their rooms up. Even though it's just a hop in and out place, the rooms are really nice
